Plan before changing files
Ask for a plan and check whether the chosen agent supports waiting.
Writing “make a plan” in an ordinary message is not the same as selecting an execution mode that waits. Use the planning control and its readiness result when you need that boundary.
Step by step
Open the task draft settings and choose Plan first before starting.
Check readiness. If the agent cannot wait for plan approval, choose a supported agent or turn planning off.
Describe the desired outcome and ask the plan to identify affected files, risks and checks.
Review the plan and answer the task’s decision request before implementation continues.
