Read answers aloud
Listen to a completed answer using a local system voice.
Read-aloud and dictation are separate. Reading an answer does not open the microphone, send another task or use a hosted voice API. It can be available in the web and desktop apps when the system/browser exposes a local speech voice; this is separate from Apple Silicon-only dictation.
Step by step
Open Settings → Voice → Read answers aloud. Playback is off by default; turn on Enable read-aloud when you want to use it.
Choose Playback language and Playback voice. VECTA offers only voices that the browser or app reports as local to your device.
Beside Copy on a completed agent answer, select Read answer aloud. Playback starts only after your action; new replies are not read automatically.
Use Stop reading to end playback. Changing the task, hiding the page or changing voice settings also stops the current reading.
